We're partnering with the Marshall University School Health Technical Assistance Center (MUSCTAC) to offer continuing education units (CEUs) for Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC).

This ACEs training series is intended to help parents and adults who serve youth better understand the impact of ACEs and to learn some best practice strategies to help youth and families overcome and prevent the future occurrence of ACEs, changing lives in a positive direction.

Research consistently shows that young people from all backgrounds do better when they have high-quality, positive relationships with adults. They are more likely to develop resilience in the face of obstacles, grow, learn, and develop social-emotional skills. Positive, healthy relationships enable young people to develop into successful and contributing adults.

 

This training provides an overview of researched-based strategies and resources that participants can immediately begin to implement to help adults build positive, supportive relationships with youth to increase resilience their wellbeing and help them thrive.
