ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES (ACEs)

The ACES Coalition of West Virginia is working to prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and improve the health and well-being of all West Virginians. We're committed to making a difference in the lives of children, adults, and families affected by ACEs. This website provides a variety of information and resources to help understand, overcome and prevent adverse childhood experiences.

PACEs CONNECTIONS

POSITIVE & ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES (PACEs)

Studies show, just as adverse childhood experiences have adverse impact into adulthood, so does positive childhood experiences have positive impact into adult hood.  PACEs Connection, an ever-growing social network, connects those who are implementing trauma-informed and resilience-building practices based on ACEs science. The network’s 40,000+ members share their best practices, while inspiring each other to grow the PACEs movement.

ACEs ISSUE BRIEFS

Inspiring Dreams Network partnered with the ACES Coalition of WV and KidsCount to develop informational issue briefs to help our stakeholder groups (caregivers, legislators/business leaders, educators, and child-serving professionals) work as partners to diminish the impact of ACES during the pandemic and beyond. Issue Briefs can be found at the bottom of this page  WV ACES Coalition | Seeks to improve the well-being of West Virginians by reducing the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences & preventing their occurrence.
