Kelly Mordecki

SECRETARY

MA, Ed.S., LPC

Kelly holds a Bachelors in Psychology (BA), a Masters in Counseling (MA), an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Counseling Leadership, a Certificate in Leadership Administration (PK-AD), and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). 

She has dedicated the better part of  2 decades working as a school counselor and student support specialist. She has worked as a school counselor at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and served as a counselor for juvenile placement students.

She has worked for the West Virginia Department of Education for ten years, serving in multiple capacities. Including district lead counselor, district test coordinator, student support specialist, and principal for the WVDE Office of Diversion and Transitional Programs, a coordinator in Teacher Preparation and Certification, a coordinator for the Office of Special Education and Student Supports.

 

She currently works in the WVDE Federal Programs Division for the Office of Student Support and Well-Being and serves as the School Mental Health Coordinator.  Kelly also works part-time for Lasting Solutions, LLC, as an independent clinical contract therapist, serving youth of all ages. Kelly has a passion for working with children and adolescents and feels it is her life’s goal to support and improve the lives of West Virginia’s most disadvantaged youth.
