Courtney's work includes project coordination and management, stakeholder engagement, communication, process improvement, and supporting programs that serve children, families, and communities. Courtney is a graduate of Nitro High School and holds her Project Management Professional (PMP) and Prosci Change Management certifications.

 

Courtney’s passion for supporting children and families extends beyond her professional career. She serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), advocating for the best interests of children and youth involved in the child welfare system. She has completed foster parent training and CASA training. Courtney has gained firsthand experience working alongside youth, families, and professionals involved in West Virginia’s child welfare system. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to ensuring young people have supportive adults in their lives and access to opportunities that help them thrive.

 

Courtney lives in Hurricane, West Virginia, with her husband, two children, and three cats. Outside of work and volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and exploring new places, searching antique stores and thrift shops for unique finds, and taking on home renovation and decorating projects. She especially enjoys finding creative ways to make a space her own and is always dreaming up her next project or planning her family and friends next adventure.

 

Courtney is excited to serve on the Inspiring Dreams Network Board of Directors and bring her experience in project management, communication, collaboration, and advocacy to the organization. She looks forward to supporting IDN’s continued growth and helping create opportunities for the professionals and volunteers who serve West Virginia’s youth.
