She serves as a court appointed Casa Advocate for children in Harrison County, advocating for children through the court system.  Elyse previously worked with Lasting Impressions Child Development Center, in the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Division Westover where one of her responsibilities, as lead Mobiles teacher, was creating lesson plans and providing training for new staff.  Being early in her career, she is continuing her education with an interest in psychology and supporting children and families.

 

Elyse holds the West Virginia Child Care Credential. She completed the West Virginia Infant/Toddler Professional Development Program (WVIT 1) and the Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist Program. In March 2024, she earned her Infant Mental Health Endorsement® as a Family Associate (IMH-E®), reflecting specialized competencies in relationship-focused, culturally sensitive infant mental health practice. Elyse is completing a Regents Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Psychology at West Virginia University at Parkersburg, with an expected graduation date of December 2027.

 

Elyse is passionate about supporting children and families in WV, promoting healthy development, and helping create opportunities for children to thrive. She is excited to serve on the Inspiring Dreams Network (IDN) Board and its Training and Development Committee, bringing her professional experience from a child advocacy perspective. IDN’s mission closely aligns with her commitment to strengthening the lives of children and families.
