Join us on May 5 and 12 to learn how to integrate mental health best practices and strategies into your ongoing student support. Participants are encouraged to test the activities prior to the Q&A session and come with question

Listening Session: Mental Health Needs of Middle Schoolers

 May 20 - 8:00am - 2:00pm  Williamsburg Middle School

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for Camp Appalachia Staff and Volunteers

 May 22 - 8:30 - 4:00  (Church at the Depot, Scott Depot, WV)

This training helps participants identify typical vs. atypical behavior for youth ages 8 -18 and walks them through a best practice process to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth, including referrals to local resources. Participants who successfully complete the course receive a certificate as a Mental Health First Aider.
