Throughout her career, Aurora has worked in a variety of roles serving preschool, Pre-K, Head Start and school age programs, helping educators create engaging, high-quality learning environments that promote positive outcomes for young children.
Aurora specializes in professional development, coaching and mentoring, classroom observation, accreditation support, curriculum implementation, social-emotional development, and family engagement. As a Maryland State Department of Education-approved trainer, she provides practical, research-based training and technical assistance designed to strengthen teaching practices and improve program quality.
Her collaborative approach focuses on building the capacity of educators and program leaders through meaningful coaching, reflective practice, and hands-on support. She is passionate about helping programs create nurturing, inclusive environments where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
In addition to her consulting work, Aurora is an advocate for nature-based learning and family partnerships. She enjoys incorporating opportunities for outdoor exploration, gardening, and hands-on learning experiences that foster curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
Aurora's mission is to support educators and families in creating strong foundations for children's success in school and in life. That’s why when the Summer Associate position became available with IDN, she decided to join our team. She will be working to brand and standardize training materials that include creating Facilitator and Participate Guides, as well as, creating more interactive activities. She recognized the critical importance of high-quality training to support the adults who work with youth. Part of this work includes securing youth voice regarding skill adults need to best support them.
