


Coalition Background Information:
The WV ACEs Coalition is comprised of 600 plus members representing diverse child serving professionals throughout our state. We focus on helping people understand, overcome and prevent adverse childhood experiences.
Task Team Information:
Our Coalition meets every other month with five active tasks teams and the overall Coalition meetings. Task teams include Awareness, Training, Legislative, Research and Programs, and at this time are still meeting virtually. CAMPS
CAMP TALL TIMBERS
Camp Tall Timbers offers a wide variety of entertaining, engaging, and inspiring activities for boys and girls from ages 7 to 16 that promotes independence, decision making, socialization, skill-building, confidence, creativity, and self-discovery in a safe and nurturing environment.
SUMMER JUNIOR NURSING ACADEMY
CAMC looks forward to hosting the annual summer Junior Nursing Academy June 15-17, 2022! Application deadline is on May 6. If you are interested in a career in Nursing and currently in the 8th-12th grade, apply today!
CAMP MARIPOSA
Camp Mariposa is a prevention and mentoring program for youth affected by the substance use disorder of a family member. Children and teens attend 4 to 6 transformational weekend camps per year. Youth ages 9-12 participate in fun, traditional camp activities combined with educational and support sessions led by mental health professionals and trained volunteers. All Camp Mariposa activities are provided free of charge. Camp Mariposa was created and is supported by Eluna. Camp Mariposa WV is a part of Eluna’s national Camp Mariposa program.
APPALACHIAN ENTREPRENEURSHIP ACADEMY

PEACETREE CENTER FOR WELLNESS - Kids Wellness Camp
Kids Wellness Camp utilizes evidence-based and trauma-informed programs that integrates the power of individuality, mindfulness, contemporary drum circles, play therapy, wellness recovery action planning, and group activities to build core strengths such as self regulation, focusing and listening, team building, leadership, expressing feelings, managing anger/stress, empathy, and gratitude. Campers learn new skills and take home tools to promote resilience and wellness in their lifestyle.
